From Johannesburg: Take the Nl to Bloemfontein where you branch off onto the N6 to Aliwal North. Turn left onto the R58 and drive via Lady Grey and Barkly East to Elliot. Turn left onto the R56 and go via Ugie to Maclear where you branch off to the left onto the Naude's Nek road, which is not tarred. After 15 km turn left at the Woodcliffe Trail sign and drive another 7 km to the farmhouse.
From KZN: From Kokstad and follow the R56 to Matatiele, Mt Fletcher to Maclear.
From Queenstown: Take the R392 to Dordrecht. Follow the R56 through Indwe, Elliot, Ugie and Maclear.
From Rhodes via Naudes Nek (R396): Travel down Naudes' Nek, past Eland's Heights Police Station, down the Pot River Pass. See Woodcliffe sign on right hand side, turn right and travel 7km, the road will split into 3, take the middle option to Woodcliffe farmhouse. Approximate distance from Rhodes 100km, expected traveling time 3 hours.
Woodcliffe is sign posted from Maclear: follow the exit out of town for "Rhodes via Naude's Nek"for 14km, turn left at the Woodcliffe Cave Trails signboard and travel for 7km.
